Let’s talk how easy it is to change up your Fall decor with paint!

It’s so easy and fun to reimagine the Autumn vibe.

First picture I used @decoart metallic paint and a basic gloss. To liven things up I added my “go-to” favorite - gold leaf paint.

2nd picture I just dragged my paint brush a bit.

Look what just arrived! I am partnering with @libertyhardwarebrands to finish off the kitchen in gorgeous style!

Champagne bronze had my heart the moment I saw it - this kitchen will definitely have the slightly swanky vibe I was hoping for!

The other cool thing about this hardware? They are not all from the same collection! Yep you can mix it up as long as there is a little commonality to tie it all together.

I must confess- I am not a scary gory Halloween girl. Nope, give me Vincent Price, cheesy 1950’s b movies ,The Twilight Zone, Alfred Hitchcock Presents and happy jack o lanterns! Which brings me to my “way back Wednesday” project for today…

I just adore these outdoor pumpkins! These were a Target find several years ago but time and weather were not kind.

I did a little makeover on the two smaller ones a couple of years ago with a bronze metallic and it worked for a season then the pumpkins started looking drab again. Swipe through to see where I started.

Brewed the coffee a little stronger today… it’s a very full amazing Monday!

I thought I would share with you my favorite Halloween centerpiece.

Inspiration can come from anywhere- this happy little pumpkin idea came from watching an old film with Carmen Miranda. I adore her vibrant personality and when I came across one of my daughters old trick or treat Jack o’lanterns…the idea hit me. I gave it a floral hat!

I think Carmen would approve. Did you know she design hats before hitting it big?

When you have a chance- read up on this remarkable beautiful woman- she was more than her iconic hat, much more.

I decided to ditch the orange in favor of a more galvanized metal finish. It was so easy to do!

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3

Yesterday we paused to remember the lives so brutally lost. Taken by evil carried out by terrorists.

We were also reminded of those who without a second thought ran to help their fellow man. Those who fought against hate. Many paying the ultimate sacrifice.

Fear could have easily swallowed up our lives and our country but it didn’t. It didn’t by choice. We had to make daily, hourly and sometimes moment by moment decisions to not allow fear and evil to win.

Today we are still faced with evil and fear - the catalyst comes in the forms of a virus & division. Terror is trying to rear its poisonous head.

Fighting the good fight is all encompassing and never ending.

We will become weary. When we are exhausted - it is easier to stumble or give up.

Take time to rest, refocus, and rejuvenate.

Then continue to fight against the darkness that would overwhelm man’s soul.

You are needed.

Progress! I couldn’t stand it any longer. 😂

This was last weekend’s progress.

We removed the original trim and replaced it with something sleeker.

I grabbed @sherwinwilliams Grays Harbor in oil base and gave it 2 coats.

The faux wood treatment will be getting another layer or two or three- I’m going with a burl wood treatment.

And to finish out the hood-the new trim will sport gorgeous rivets.

It will be a showstopper! You know what else will be a showstopper? @libertyhardwarebrands ! The cabinets will shine with @gifted champagne bronze door pulls and knobs. I am so excited to show you what I chose!
