We are in the home stretch! This is week 4 of the $100 Room Challenge and we are wrapping up the bedroom refresh. Finally seeing real progress and it’s going to be beautiful!
It is hard to believe that we are just days away from the grand reveal! Many thanks to Erin (Lemons, Lavender, and Laundry) for opening this brilliant challenge up for participation. If you are new to The Aspiring Home, WELCOME! I am so very glad you are here. Let me show you where we are on week 4 of the $100 Room Challenge bedroom refresh.
Bedroom Refresh Update –
The room is officially painted and it’s looking pretty, well, pretty! The room feels airy and light.
I decided to paint the dark fan with a color I had out in the garage, SW Repose Gray, love how subtle the color is against the ceiling now.
I changed my mind on the grasscloth (I know BIG surprise, ha!) and decided to try just for grins using the same repose gray as on the grasscloth. Using a small brush, I whitewashed the cloth until it made me happy. Ready to add another color to the cloth but when I stepped back- I liked it with just the one color.
Next issue was the bamboo, what to do? I tried dry brushing it and I didn’t dig it. So I decided to try the trim color and it just works.
We dug through more of our paint stash and chose a beautiful color to paint the back of the shelf units. I am saving that for the reveal. 😉
Paint has definitely been our ally on this project. I still have a few fun projects to break out before the big reveal, so I had better get back to it! Don’t leave without seeing all the amazing rooms being transformed for $100!
