These treats are perfect for Christmas eve or Christmas day. Eggnog cinnamon waffles will quickly become a family tradition.

Christmas Eggnog Cinnamon Waffles
When the kiddos were little – they begged for waffles one Christmas Eve. Well, I ran out of milk and only had eggnog in the fridge. It was dairy, so…in it went. I added a little vanilla and sprinkled pecans in the mix right before I closed the waffle iron. 3 minutes later –
the kids were happy little campers and a new recipe was created.
Over the years, cinnamon was added to the batter and it was well recieved by the masses. To make a less stressful morning, I started using a pancake/waffle mix.
My favorite is Whataburger pancake/waffle mix. It calls for 1 1/2 cups of milke but I substitue s 1/.2 cup of milk for eggnog. I add 1 tsp. of vanilla and 2 tsps. of cinnamon.
I cook my waffles for about 3 minutes or until slightly crispy and golden brown. Now,the pecans are optional, let me rephrase that, they are optional anywhere else but kinda mandated in this household, ha!
You can garnish with dairy whip, berries and syrup. The world is your oyster waffle!
