YOU Have A Purpose, YOU Are Needed!
Everything and everyone has a purpose. Fulfilling your purpose, your calling affects not only you, those around you but the generations to come. YOU have a purpose, you are needed.
This is the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone, it is bigger than a football field at 370 feet in diameter. The spring’s depth reaches 121 ft.
The beautiful colors? The orange, yellow, and green ring the deep blue waters in the spring are actually multicolored layers that result from different species of thermophile (heat-loving) bacteria.
That’s right, bacteria. One of the most intriguing and most photographed places owes its beauty to something that seems to have no purpose but when put in the right conditions…beauty happens.
If bacteria can have such an effect when living out its purpose, imagine the possibilities when we live out our purpose. I know it sounds silly to compare a minuscule bacteria to human destiny but stay with me through this.
We have all been given the opportunity to live life. Whether you believe it at this moment or you are feeling lost- you have a purpose. There is a reason for your existence. A reason greater than merely going through the mundane motions of sustaining life.
Will you be a great big world changer? Maybe. Will you change the world around you- most definitely. You have a unique calling and it may be to do the giant extraordinary where everyone knows your name.
Maybe you are called to make the ordinary extraordinary in your community or in your own home. Maybe it’s all the above or maybe who you are, the gifts you have been given are used to impact someone else who is slated to take on bigger things.
YOU are needed.
So dig down deep and embrace that calling.
Put to use those gifts and talents you have been blessed with.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
