Let the Painting Begin friends! It’s week 3 of the Fall 2018 One Room Challenge and the room’s last bits of dining are going, going gone.
Half the battle of redesigning a room is finding new homes for the old stuff. The other half is having faith in the new design, HA! I am so happy that the homeowner is really loving the primer! Which means…she will be over the moon when painting the new colors!
The One Room Challenge is a fantastic opportunity to take one tired or unusable space and in 6 short weeks create a wonderful useable room. This year it’s all about making use of space and shaking up traditional rooms. A rarely used dining room has shed her old colors and furnishings and is now ready for the magic to really begin.
Many thanks to HomeRight for sending their Paint Stick EZ -Twist Paint roller! It made quick work of a monotonous but necessary task.
The chair rail, now gone is the last remnants of the dining room. Curtains are coming along and the rugs have come in!
We chose to go with a rag rug style that can be washed. A large furbaby takes up residence in this space so, being able to wash the “sometimes” dirty paws that may show up.
Next week the final color will hopefully go up and the library wall will begin to take shape!
Till Later friends,
