It’s a new week! New opportunities await!

Have you started decking the halls? Our neighborhood started welcoming the season the day after Halloween. One by one the homes are putting on their Christmas best and it’s such a happy sight to see.

I’m waiting to do the exterior but I have broke out the jingle bells and I’m contemplating spinning a few mood setting records today.

I do feel a little torn because I love Thanksgiving and gathering as a family. Our Thanksgiving will look a little different this year... I know you can relate. We will be wrapping up our quarantine. My husband has been fighting the “rona”. He is doing good and we are so grateful. I have had to keep him isolated from us. I have been sanitizing and keeping everything as clean as possible. Thankfully my son and I are doing well. The last few weeks have been on the tougher side - hence the pull toward the positive and making things merry and bright. 😊

This was my mantle from last year. I love happy color. I’m dreaming up something a tad different this year but reusing and repurposing what I have on hand.

This room will be completed and it will be a stunner. I’m down to the last details including building 2 floating half round bedside tables.

We are all needing a little Christmas, right this very minute… remember that from Auntie Mame (1956, with Rosalind Russell)?

Nothing better to get into the Christmas spirit than a few good movies! Today, I’m sharing my Golden Era Christmas movie must-watch list.

I am a huge Golden Era/Age movie buff and this list contains a few of my most favorite movies...ever.

Our weekend will be filled with wrapping up our Fall ORC room and honestly dealing with a couple of deep burdens that I will keep unspoken for now.

2 years ago, I grabbed my measuring tape, put pen to paper and a sledgehammer to this wall.

Swipe through to see the progression. This jack n Jill style bathroom was incredibly small. Having a cavernous linen closet made it worse.

Design and imagination created the most wonderful transformation!

The linen tower and pull out drawers in this vanity work much harder that the original setup.

I seized the opportunity for change by adding a hidden panel to house curling irons and blow dryers.

Underneath, I designed drawers that fully extend with sides that help corral all the extras that end up under the sink.

Sometimes, you just have to make a mess to reveal the beautiful.
