Fall In Love with Texas Blog Tours

|

I am so excited today to take part in such a special tour of homes- all right here in the Lone Star state! Get ready for some beautiful Fall inspiration and get ready to Fall in Love with Texas blog tours!

Fall Greetings Friends!
Fall decor is a bit simpler for me this year. We are still dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey and are finding more issues with the house that will make it hard to keep things lovely. I am grateful that we will get a roof this Wednesday! Anyhoo…
Welcome to my home sweet home. If you are new to The Aspiring Home, I am so very glad you are here. I believe that home is more than just a place where you lay your head down. It is the place where we rejuvenate, we find peace and we put down roots. I believe a house is just a house until these ideals are in play then it becomes a home. But how do you do all that and stay on a budget? Well, that is where I hope my little blog can help. Everything from crafts to design to stories that feed your soul.
Come on in and Howdy!

I did a Fall Home Tour last year and to be honest some of the decor remained the same but I wanted to shake my foyer up a bit and add a few trendier pumpkins. I add chalk paint that I picked up at my local craft store and gilded the top. I love my glamorous pumpkins! I admit it – I have a love affair with all things Art Deco and swanky.

I love to decorate for the Holidays but if you stick around here long enough- you will find out that I add very little to my decor every year- I just switch it up from room to room and paint where I can. Holiday decor shouldn’t be overwhelming and so out of budget that you can’t enjoy it.
I am so happy you stopped by and I hope that you have a wonderful day visiting all these gorgeous abode and fall in love with Texas.

  1. Joy, I love the touch of glam in your fall decor. The gold lettered leaf place card is my favorite–pinned! Everything is lovely! Excited to be participating in this tour with you! Blessings, Cecilia

  2. Good morning, Joy. Your home looks so pretty all dressed for fall. Your dining room is amazing! I love all of your pumpkins and a little gilding is always in order. In fact, with the world the way it is today…I think we need more pretty!

Happy fall to you down south. 🙂

  3. You home looks beautiful in all of it’s Fall decor, with pretty touches all around. Finding joy and comfort in our homes is so important. I was touched by reading your profile, that you’re a believer in Love and Forgiveness.

    1. Thank you Kitty! Love and forgiveness is what we need more of and less destructive revenge. So much strength in being able to forgive and love and accept forgiveness and love.

  4. Joy, I love all the animals throughout your home decorations. I’m just happy that you all are safe and you can even think about decorating for fall and blog tours. It’s probably a good thing to have a new season to look forward to. I think I have the same turquoise pumpkins!

  5. Hi Joy,

  6. Joy, I agree about holiday decorating. I like to keep it simple and use what I have. Actually over the years I’ve accumulated a lot, sot that makes it easy to mix things up from year to year. I love all the white accent pieces you use and that turquoise fall pillow is a charmer. Happy Fall and thanks for the tour.

  7. Joy,
Your home is inviting and elegant. The silhouette piece over the fireplace reminds me of Fall without really being a Fall scene. All the white accents are beautiful by themselves, but go beautifully with any color scheme or holiday decorations. I can imagine them at Christmas with reds and greens.

P.S. Your signature with the bird is also elegant.
