“It was just an ordinary day, sitting on the floor playing with my sweet toddler girl. We were in a heated game of peek -a -boo when I noticed something very odd.”

Today, I wanted to share a little snippet of my life. I’m a big believer that we are all called to encourage one another. We all have a story to tell. A hope to give when hope is needed.

This story resides under the “Feed the Soul” category on the website. Lately I have been feeling the tug to write again. I keep putting that feeling,that tug in a box and placing it on a shelf in my heart. Yet, it calls to me. I can’t ignore it any longer so I am picking up the pen again. I’m stepping back out in faith again. It may not be every day or every week- it will just reside in that little space, in that little category- just in case someone somewhere needs to know they are not alone.

Good morning friends, Are the days feeling shorter to you? They are a little for me.

School started back up again yesterday and while I was concerned for my son being back at school, I know having a sense of normalcy and routine have become crucial. We followed all the precautions and his school has done and is doing an incredible job. We will see how this year or semester goes.

In other news, I have a quick little DIY for you! This golden beauty started life as a lovely candle jar, a gift from a friend one year for my birthday. Once empty, I didn’t have the heart to throw it out. I have a habit of holding onto to things that have sweet memories.

Good news, it served as a catch all jar for all things “clipped”. You know, paper clips, those little metal clips that you grab in a pinch to close the chip bag...yeah not sure what those are called but they serve many functions outside of the office. 😂

When we did the office makeover, I had to keep this little jar on the desk but I also had to doll her up. Come see how I did it, link in the bio. Have a great Thursday!

This Boho Chic bedroom update came with a few room complications. Swipe to see the room layout.

My client is entering the teen years and this space needed to grow with her.

She loves her family and friends so, Mixtiles were a perfect solution to create a gallery wall that can be updated without losing style.

She digs the Boho vibe. I chose a few mid-century pieces that work well with the free spirited style.

Furniture has to work hard if it’s going to pass muster in this room! To keep the space feeling uncluttered, I found a vanity that could double as a desk and triple as a nightstand.

To add more storage I suggested building in the bed on one side for a secret bookshelf!

Stretching out on the floor to read is so easy to do with a vibrant comfy rug and fun floor pillows. Study group? Maybe! Hanging out with friends? Definitely!
