Life has been nothing short of organized chaos around here. I am sure you can relate! From last minute prep for my 2nd daughter’s high school graduation to my email provider moving away from google and in the process locking me out of my blog. Every situation has a silver lining of some sort. My daughter is officially a graduate and college bound. The blog situation forced me to decide if I love this enough to continue the pursuit… Definitely love it and have now hopefully set myself up in a better situation. Fingers crossed that I can recover the old posts but if not- we will figure it out. Now, onto today’s post…
Take Me to the Beach!
With summer ramping up- thoughts of lounging in a hammock, slightly swinging to and fro. Palm trees gently swaying. Sand running through your toes. A cool drink in hand and the low roar of the ocean melting away the stresses of life…. man, I need a vacation. How about you?!?
Let’s comtemplate where we could go shall we….
Gulf Shores, Alabama
Here is the spot that many of my fellow southerners spent their childhood summers.
Atlantic Beach, Florida
Take a deep breath and rest here my friends in this small town beauty. If you are looking for a spot to wiggle your toes in sugary beach sand… this is the place.
Laguna Beach, California
I am a little partial… I LOVE this place. Mr. AH’s family roots are here and I embraced this beach gem completely when we were fortunate enough to live in the area for a bit. Hotel Laguna is a dreamy place to stay- it envokes the era of glamorous Hollywood and the legendary stars that graced the lobby with their presence decades ago. Hang Ten or hang in the hammock – it’s all good.
Hilton Head, South Carolina
12 miles of beach just waiting for families to explore and enjoy. If your family craves more than laying in the sand – Hilton Head has tons of bike trails, tennis courts and golf courses to keep you busy.
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Beaches, amusement parks, sailing surfing…. need I say more? Fun Fun Fun!
Cape May, New Jersey
Gorgeous Victorian homes, quaint bed and breakfasts not to mention the beautiful beaches – throw in a little dolphin watching and you are set.
Kaanapali Beach, Maui
Ahhh, just saying the name causes relaxation. Pack up your cares and woes and head to Hawaii- unload the stress and negativity and take home peace and tranquility.
I don’t know about you but I am so ready for vacay! What if heading off to a beach destination just isn’t in the finances for this year? Well, stay tuned… later this week we will talk about bringing paradise to your abode ( and mine too!).
